Girls are Loud supports female-identifying instrumentalists, engineers, producers and videographers.

At Girls are Loud, we pair artists (of any gender) with fully female teams for completely live recordings of singles. Our instrumentalists learn, write and create their parts to take a demo to a fully mixed and mastered single. Sessions are filmed, too, so an artist leaves with a master recording and a music video.

Working with our partners at multiple women-in-music organizations, we have a full-service roster, and can also release singles on artists’ behalves through our deal with Kobalt’s AWAL. Our team supports instrumentalists at the junction of classical and contemporary music through our management, sync, and distribution beats.

In 2018, GAL began putting on shows with all female bills to expand our mission of empowering women in music. As we grow, we plan to build on our mission to support female musicians by delving deeper into the live, representation, and distribution space.

Leyla Kumble, founder.

Leyla's experience in A&R at Columbia Records and BMG, as well as working with composers at WME, saw her discover the dearth of female composers and the inaccessibility for composers to participate in contemporary projects. Marrying her love for studio setups and collaboration in music, she started Girls are Loud: a place where songwriters who need instrumentals to bring their song to life, can go to record and gain promotional content.
